1-Position: Legal Consultant
Supervisor: ICLA Central Manager
Duty station: Amman, and central governorates
Duration of contract: 3 months

- Scope of work:
- Providing support to NRC beneficiaries on the issues related to birth, marriage and death registration.
- Assessing the legal viability of the cases, and the possibility of a viable support with respect to NRC’s beneficiaries’ interest and benefit.
- Preparing the legal documents needed to proceed and continue supporting NRC beneficiaries before the administrative and judicial competent bodies.
- Preparing and submitting monthly reports on the activities completed on a monthly basis.
- Providing NRC’s legal team with information on administrative and judicial practices in the scope of the thematic areas of service delivery.
- Filling in NRC legal case management tools.
- Providing regularly, NRC legal team with information on the details related to the follow-up on the legal cases and the actions taken.
- Attending periodic meetings, trainings, workshops and seminars directly related to the subject of service delivery.
- Minimum qualifications:
- Necessary: Ability to travel between Amman, central governorates different areas, according to the requirements of the legal support for NRC’s beneficiaries in the scope of the subject of service delivery.
- Necessary: A university degree in law.
- Necessary: An active license from the Jordanian bar association to practice law in Jordan and proceed with the legal procedures before Shariaa and civil courts.
- Necessary: Verbal and written fluency in Arabic.
- Necessary: Committed to working with refugees; and supporting them to exercise their legal rights.
- Desirable: Knowledge about the framework, national laws and legal procedures related to the provision of support to NRC’s beneficiaries on legal identity and civil documentation thematic area.
- Desirable: Experience in legal matters related to foreigners’ legal status in Jordan.
- Desirable: Experience in legal matters pertaining to personal status; including procedures related to birth, marriage and death registration.

2- Support Coordinator - Middle East Regional Office (Nationals only)
Overview
The Middle East Regional Office based in Amman, Jordan was created in January 2014 . We currently have more than 3,000 staff in the Middle East region assisting people displaced by conflict in Syria, Libya Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine. Our work is concentrated on the shelter, education, livelihoods, legal assistance and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors with strong protection and resilience focus integrated into our programs.

Role Specific/Purpose:
The purpose of the Support Coordinator is to coordinate the support functions at the Middle East Regional Office (MERO). Over 50 employees are based in MERO in order to provide support and oversight to country operations in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, and Syria. NRC MERO also hosts regional and global events for NRC. The Support Coordinator will oversee the management of NRC MERO property and assets, transport, warehouse, procurement, logistics, as well as administrative tasks. The job holder is required to oversee daily office operations, improve administrative and logistic procedures, manage support staff and participate in long-term organizational planning.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are seeking a motivated, energetic, dynamic and communicative candidate who has 4 years’ relevant business or NGO administration experience or similar. Experience in a humanitarian/recovery context is a strong asset.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar, Fluency (both verbal and written) in English and Arabic is required.
General Responsibilities:
- Line manage support staff such as Admin, including events and service staff, Logistics and Procurement.
- Ensure Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and handbooks and donor/auditor requirements.
- Prepare and submit reports and analysis.
- Plan support unit strategy in line with NRC MERO strategy.
- Contribute to the budgeting process for the Regional Office. Ensure material and financial resources are used cost-consciously. Manage spending on designated budget lines.
- Responsible for Implementation of new MERO specific technical SOPs, guidelines and tools.
- Responsible for technical capacity building of support staff in coordination with technical advisors.
- Ensure proper filing and archiving for all support documents.
Specific Tasks:
- Oversee events management
- Coordinate with relevant visitors, partners, suppliers, authorities, lawyers, and other external actors as designated
- Oversee the management of fleet and transportation
- Property lease contract management
- Oversee general administration services including security guard service and reception services
- Ensure the provision of a conducive working environment, including lighting, sufficient office space, and accessibility.
- Supervise and manage the performance and development of support staff in the unit in line with NRC’s goals, objectives, policies, and regulations

3- Technical Livelihoods Coordinator - Amman "Nationals Only"
Role Specific Information

NRC Jordan is hiring a Livelihoods Technical Coordinator that will be responsible for the collection, management, and analysis of all relevant data that will drive NRC’s Livelihoods programme. Under the supervision of the Livelihoods Specialist, the Technical Coordinator will support the development and evolution of NRC’s livelihoods’ strategy through the promotion of evidence based decision making. The position requires both strong analytical and communication skills. The Technical Coordinator will represent NRC Livelihoods in senior level meetings with donors and partners. In addition, this person will be responsible for designing and leading capacity building activities for all relevant staff. This position will require travel between the project sites.
Generic responsibilities:
- Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.
- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
- Promote the rights of internally displaced/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.
- Contribute to the development of Core Competency strategy, Micro Log Frame, and Plan of Action.

Specific responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of the Livelihoods Strategy through data driven decision making.
- Lead the development of an IM system for NRC’s Graduation Approach Livelihoods Programming.
- Support the Transition to Employment (t2E) team on all IM related activities including the development of data management systems and managing all relevant T2E databases Creation and monitoring of data collection procedures and IM SoPs.
- Deliver regular internal updates and monthly reports on key project indicators, progress, and forecasting for internal and external actors.
- Conduct additional qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis as requested by livelihood specialist.
- Ensure NRC's data protection policy is being applied to all activities and staff are aware of the specific data protection protocols.
- Train relevant project staff on data collection and field level quality control measures.
- Liaise with NRC's Monitoring and Evaluation department to ensure reporting requirements are met.
- Develop user-friendly visual analytics including infographics, dashboards, and graphics using tools like Power BI.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a university graduate in Computer Science, IT, Computer Systems Engineer, Management Information Systems or related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within field of expertise. Experience working in complex and volatile contexts, Technical specific knowledge from the humanitarian sector. Documented technical competencies related to the position’s responsibilities. Excellent IT and data management skills including experience in working with case management databases. Excellent knowledge of MS Package. Substantial knowledge in collecting and managing quantitative and qualitative data. Advanced knowledge in Excel and Access (or equivalent). MySQL knowledge is an advantage. Experience working with visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.). Background in mobile data collection and previous experience in delivering trainings and to have experience supporting Humanitarian and/or Development Livelihoods projects is a plus.
