                                                               The French section of Médecins Sans Frontières
                                                                          is recruiting for its project in Amman.

                                                                                              Driver

CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Médecins Sans Frontières is running a reconstructive surgery program in Amman and is seeking a Driver.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for his vehicle and the passengers’ security at all times, respects the Highway Code, adjusts speed according to the state of the road track, ensures number of people can be officially carried in the vehicle, and helps patients being transported to climb into and out of the vehicle if needed.
• Responsible for  security decisions regarding his vehicle
• Keeps the vehicle’s logbook up to date, noting any problems and incidents, and filling out the fuel log book correctly, carries out daily and weekly checks, and is able to justify his fuel consumption at all times
• Maintains his vehicle in good order (internal and external cleaning) and regularly checks that his equipment is in good working order (spare wheel, jack, straps, ropes, tools, etc.) and carries out weekly physical inventory of the equipment in his vehicle
• Is responsible for the load he transports
• Does other additional activities upon request

PROFILE

• Possessing a valid driver license type 3
• At least two years relevant experience as a Driver with an international organization
• Excellent knowledge in driving practice & places within Jordan
• Good knowledge of mechanics
• Able to work under pressure, calm, patient
• Flexibility is essential
• Good Driving skills

WORK LOCATION:  Amman
CONTRACT:   Fixed term contract – Full Time – 6 months
Starting date:  1st October 2017
