Laboratory Technician Chemist - 3 month contract

JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT
The Laboratory Technician II will complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety quality and operational teams. We are looking for a hardworking person who will perform routine analysis of product testing, being responsible for checking and monitoring instrumentation performance and conducting tests for which we are going to provide intermediate supervision. In this role, you will document results into databases and/or communication test results.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Preparation of materials for analysis (grinding, homogenization, dividing, etc)
- Stability test and follow up
- Conduct standardized tests on feed, R.M, and preservatives to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, texture, and nutrients.
- Provide assistance to senior analyst
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications
- BS.c degree in (Chemical Engineering or Chemistry) or equivalent or related fields.
- Specific experience with GC, HPLC/UPLC, Viscosity, pH, and manual and automated titrations.
- Proven working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and management ISO 17025 GLP and GMP accreditations or standards
- Minimum of one/two years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong computer program professional knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals).
- Maintain lab practice standard according GMP and GLP
