Front-End Web Developer


Job Summary 

Tentime is looking for a Frontend Web Developer who is motivated in combining the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include the translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code which will produce visual elements of the application. The developer along with the UI/UX designer will bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. 

Responsibilities 

  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Experience in Angular 2 or above
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Understanding of web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / JiRA


Skills, Qualifications, & Experience

  1. 3-5 years’ experience in web development
  2. Experience in Angular is a must.
  3. Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  4. Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
  5. Understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  6. Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  7. Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  8. Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  9. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / Mercurial
  10. Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
