1- Church and Community Transformation Adviser

An exciting opening has arisen in our Eurasia and North Africa Team (ENA) for an enthusiastic and committed professional who is passionate about envisioning the church at local and national levels for Church and Community Transformation (CCT). With a strong preference for a national candidate this role may be based in the successful candidates country of origin or where Tearfund has a right to work within ENA.Church and Community Transformation (CCT) consists of various approaches that encourage churches to work in or with communities.This role will provide advice and support for the strengthening and scale up, wherever possible, of the distinctive transforming development work that Tearfund implement with and through the church within the region, as well as engaging with other cross-faith actors in order to serve the needs of beneficiaries.The CCT Advisor is responsible for supporting the delivery of a regional strategy for strengthening and scaling up CCT through capacity building Tearfund country offices and partners, and supporting the development of relationships with key church leaders.We are looking for candidates with:
- Strong experience working in community transformation through the church
- Solid appreciation of development and humanitarian current thinking and good practice
Candidates will also have a theological or equivalent degree, with experience of working with and influencing church leaders and or other faith actors at local and national level. Candidates must also have strong experience in advisory, coaching and training roles and influencing skills. Excellent English communication skills, written and oral, are required, with additional Arabic being desirable.This role will be based in one of the following countries: Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Pakistan. 2- Safety, Security and Access Manager - Eurasia & North Africa

Are you experienced in security management and analysis in insecure environments?An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Tearfund's Eurasia and North Africa (ENA) Team in the role as Safety, Security and Access Manager. With a strong preference for a national candidate this role may be based in the successful candidates country of origin or where Tearfund has a right to work within ENA.In this role you will advise and support Tearfund's ENA Country programme teams on safety and security policies and procedures, and ensure security plans are effective. You will deliver training and briefings, as well as coaching to both programme country based staff and partners. You will undertake frequent monitoring field visits to country programmes and provide advice on access protocols for programmes as well as on regional trends and analysis to the Regional Director. Where necessary you will provide surge support to country programmes.The successful candidate will have proven experience in:
- Working in an insecure environment in a security position
- Have relevant security training, such as HEAT or equivalent
- Experience of conducting security analysis within an insecure environment and demonstrated examples of how programming has adapted as a result
- Providing dynamic, helpful and clear advice and recommendations to key decision makers
- Have the ability to work under pressure
Candidates must also have excellent English communication skills, written and oral, are required, with additional Arabic being desirable.This role will be based in one of the following countries: Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Pakistan with frequent travel.
