Department Purpose
Conflict affected young men and women in Jordan are able to enjoy their economic rights and are more resilient to shocks through more equitable access to sustainable livelihood opportunities and control over productive resources. Additionally, the position requires working closely with the Gender Justice Programme team, whose purpose is that more women and girls in Jordan, in all their diversity, are able to realise their life choices in all spheres and enjoy their rights freely and without fear in peaceful and equal societies.
Job Purpose
Support the Economic Justice components of the project “WEECAN! in Ma’an, Jordan (100%), with particular focus on Women Economic Empowerment (WEE), and will report directly to the Economic Justice Project Manager. WEECAN! Women’s Economic Empowerment: Host Communities and Syrian Refugees working together to create new Livelihood Opportunities, is a multi-year project that aims to promote the socio-economic empowerment of Syrian refugee and vulnerable women in host communities through different actions that aim to improve the sustainable access of income opportunities and the social and family support (social norms) towards women-led businesses financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
Job Responsibilities
Technical
  • Support the delivery of the Project in close coordination with WEECAN! Project Manager, and partners;
  • Work in close coordination with the Project Manager in collaborative manner and ensure coordination and coherence with the agreed work plans and timelines;
  • Assist the Project Manager in all operations related to project implementation, data collection and analysis;
  • Support the outreach to public and private actors and different stakeholders;
  • Contribute to regular donor and organizational reports through highlighting project outputs, outcomes, successes and challenges;
  • Work closely with partners and follow up on their work;
  • Support partner in development of communication materials that highlight project objectives;
  • As delegated, assist with other tasks related to follow-up on projects and partners as well as organization of logistics (for program-related meetings, workshops, etc.);
  • Provide assistance and liaise with other departments as required to project delivery;
  • Build and maintain good relationships with Ma’an communities and support in improving work procedures;
  • Carry any other duties and tasks assigned by Economic Justice Project Manager.
Monitoring & Evaluation 
  • In cooperation with MEAL department, assist with data collection and entry into project databases and tools, including any required data analysis;
  • In cooperation with MEAL department, assist in development and implementation of appropriate monitoring processes, systems, and tools;
  • With guidance from the Project Manager, contribute to monitoring and evaluation efforts including monitoring, data collection, analysis, report writing.
Administration and Logistics 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation (plans and daily, weekly, monthly reports);
  • In cooperation with Logistics department, assist the team in the preparation of procurement and sub-contracts documentation to include purchase requests, purchase orders, supplier agreements, and subcontracts for procurements and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations;
  • As delegated, assist with other tasks related to follow-up of projects and partners as well as organization of logistics for program-related meetings and workshops;
  • Participate in a variety of meetings, workshops, and/or trainings for the purpose of providing or receiving information, recording minutes, and supporting the needs of attendees;
  • In coordination with Logistics department, make prepare travel when needed.

Partners Coordination 
  • Monitoring of planning and implementation with partner(s) on bi-monthly/quarterly basis (or to be adjusted according to needs);
  • Ensure the consistency of actions, advocacy and communications taking gender equality and, rights-based approach in consideration;
  • Support the Project Manager, in cooperation with MEAL and communications, in identifying topics for advocacy and develop case studies;
  • Keep partners log sheet to record information about partner’s relationship;
  • Provide support to other Oxfam departments (e.g. Communications, MEAL) when planning activities with partners;
  • Work with partners following Oxfam partnerships principles and guidelines.
Job Requirements
Essential
  • Graduate degree from a recognized university.
  • At least three years recent and relevant experience in a similar role in an NGO setting.
  • Good knowledge of Jordan civil society landscape, and experience in working with partners and/or coalitions or networks.
  • Arabic native speaker, good command of both written and verbal English.
  • Committed to Oxfam values, including promotion of gender equality.
  • Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
  • Good coordination skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Proven knowledge of computerised systems; high degree of computer literacy and word processing

Desirable
  • Relevant practical experience in relevant discipline;
  • Knowledge in different stages of project cycle management.
