Formulation Senior Supervisor
TQ Pharma is looking to hire “Formulation Senior Supervisor” with the following details:
Role summary: Supervise the formulation department in coordination with the formulation section head, including following up the formulation and process development of new-products, arranging and executing modifications or reformulation of currently produced products upon need, managing and directing all activities of formulation department personnel and following documentation activities within the formulation department. Duties and responsibilities: - Suggest in coordination with the formulation section head the administrative functions within the formulation department such as plans, extra works and overtimes and take apart in the appraisal of the employees. - Follow the documentation and completeness of all formulation department systems and procedures according to TQ Pharma documentation system and manage documents handling within the department including (preparation, checking, revision, updating and allocation of documents, writing SOP’s and documents) and records control and ensure that documents are ready and up to date. - Achieve SOP’s and documents application in the formulation department, dealing with equipment use, calibration, maintenance, cleaning, safety, etc. and ensure implementation of GMP & GLP requirements within the formulation fepartment. - Inform formulation section head and submit feedback on formulation department performance or when major defects are found and investigate the problems and troubleshoot them. - Suggest and discuss ideas for improvement possibilities of the formulation processes with the formulation section head. - Ensure and execute under supervision employee trainings according to the internal quality and job programs. - Arrange and execute tasks related to process validation. - Inform formulation section head upon need for raw materials, tools and equipment necessary for formulation department activities from materials department and participate in setting specifications for equipment needed of formulation department. - Follow up knowledge and medical information within the department. - Arrange and execute all technical issues in the formulation department such as; pre-formulation studies in coordination with analytical department, formulation and process development of new products, modifications of formulation and /or process of currently produced products if they faced problems concerning chemical and/or physical stability, and conformity to specifications. - Arrange and prepare laboratory batches and pilot batches of new formulated dosage forms for stability purposes in coordination with formulation head. - Arrange for using the desired primary packaging materials for products in coordination with formulation section head. - Provide support to prepare the necessary documents for each new formulated product, which include: formula, batch record, product specifications, raw materials specifications, packaging materials specifications and product development reports in coordination with formulation Head. - Follow up and supervise the production of the first three production batches for new products and troubleshooting. Qualifications: - Bachelor degree in Pharmacy. - (6-8) years of experience in the field, 2 years in a similar position. - Good Knowledge of quality, GMP, validation, FDA, QA requirements and ISO regulations and procedures. - Familiar with the international and local stability requirements. - Good knowledge in industrial systems. - Good management, communication and negotiation skills with leadership abilities. - Fluent in English language, other languages are plus.
