Production Engineer
Job Description
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of shift to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and in compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Operates more than one machine while ensuring compliance with the set guidelines to meet production targets.
- Implementing plant improvement projects and issuing status reports
- Coaches and trains lower level jobs on simple tasks to ensure compliance with set guidelines and SOPs.
- Assists quality and plant management in investigations and prepares incident reports when the need rises.
- Documents paper system pertaining to manufacturing orders (MOs), packaging standards (PSs) and logbooks to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Troubleshoots and investigates more complex manufacturing issues, incidents, and reliability problems on the production line to ensure continuity of operations.
- Communicates internally with other departments such as quality and maintenance to ensure the progression of work and compliance with SOPs and GMPs.
- Communicates externally with technicians for troubleshooting and maintenance of production machines and lines.
- Performing qualification activities in coordination with validation and calibration departments.
- Daily production reports with respect to the Chemicals Plant Production activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor.
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality, health, and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
