Seagulls Media is looking for Technical Support Officer
Provide technical and administrative support to LAN and WAN using operating systems, to variety of application software and to computer system users.
- Oversee the daily performance of computer systems (e.g. mail servers & domain controller).
- Respond to user inquiries through the ticketing system regarding computer software or hardware operations to resolve problems.
- Discuss with staff users and management to establish requirements for new systems, modifications or updates.
- Assist in providing infrastructure/computer/network support relating to software/hardware problems.
- Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users.
- Install new software or hardware on the LAN and coordinate with third parties for assistance when necessary; test and evaluate any newly installed technology.
- Prepare assets inventory sheet that contains assets type, users and specification.
- Perform repairs to hardware, software or equipment following design or installation specifications.
- Add and maintain users on the network; assigning application access, ensuring security and maintaining their configurations within standards.
- Take backups from all servers on daily basis and users data backups as scheduled.
- Monitor and evaluate efficiency of network and hardware/software usage and recommend proper actions for best utilization.
- Maintain and improve company infrastructure consistently.
- Set up equipment for employee use; perform and ensure proper installation of cables.
- Read technical manuals, confer with users or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
- Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
- Provide training on all hardware and certain software operations for users.
- Participate in team and management meetings, providing input and suggestions, and prepare minutes of discussion items.
- Gather prices on equipment and supplies according to the company policy.
- Monitor and report licenses and renewals on applications to ensure compliance on monthly basis.
- Utilize technology to provide staff with a fast accurate and secure method of gaining access to information so they can service the member in the fastest and most efficient manner possible.
- Conduct safety checks on computer equipment, to ensure their viability and ability to perform correctly when requested.
- Establishing new radio streaming (Naistro) and handling any error occurred
- Supporting Naistro 24/7
- Supporting Naistro client by (phone calls/ on sight visits)
- Supporting the studio stations which includes; training presenters on how to use the studio equipments correctly, hardware & software maintenance, live OB and etc.
- Radio transmitter (Configuring, maintaining and frequently visit to check location sites (HQ & Irbid)
- Website hosting; management and support.
Minimum: Bachelor Degree: Computer Engineer/ Computer Science.
Years of Experience: 1-3 of related experience.
