Accountant
Position Purpose
Contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the finance department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail. This role will utilize strong accounting knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving to ensure success.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Perform month end closing (MEC) activities with the team, ensuring financial information in BS and P&L is accurate, meeting MEC global schedule’s deadlines.
- Accounts Receivable & accounts payable, including processing invoices, producing statement of accounts and Customer maintenance in SAP.
- Assisting in year-end financial and tax audits in compliance with statutory and company requirements.
- Preparing tax return (Special Sales Tax, General Sales Tax, Withholding taxes & Corporate Income Tax) reporting.
- Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request including but not limited to (cashier responsibilities, Period close stock counts…etc.).
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- University Degree (Business, Finance, Economics). Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting function within a FMCG company (international is a plus).
- '- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and excellent proficiency is the rest of MS package.
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- SAP ECC / SAP HANA experience.
- Analytical Skills.
- Language Skills Arabic Fluent. English Excellent.
The position is for a 12-months contract, with a possibility to be renewed.
