Senior Compliance Monitoring Officer
Role: Senior Officer, Compliance Monitoring
Location: Abu Dhabi
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Senior Officer, Compliance Monitoring assists in the execution of compliance monitoring reviews of the First Line of Defense to provide assurance on the effectiveness of compliance controls. The Senior Officer Compliance Monitoring assists in the planning, scoping, fieldwork and reporting for assigned compliance reviews as per the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan.
Reports to: Head of CMAT
Key Accountabilities of the role
1. Assist in performing compliance monitoring reviews as assigned by the Head of CMAT and to support the Senior Compliance Assurance Managers
2. Provide timely feedback on findings to stakeholders during the process of performing compliance reviews.
3. Ensuring that compliance breaches are identified, escalated and logged in GRC system.
4. Agreeing realistic and timed action plans mitigate the risks identified during compliance monitoring reviews.
5. Adhering with the Compliance Monitoring SOP including completion of the Process, Risks and Controls (PRC) document and Work Papers.
6. Maintaining all relevant records on the departments shared drive
7. Any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Head of CMAT.
Deliverables/ Results
• Timely and accurate completion of assigned reviews
• Timely recording of compliance incidents and findings
• Complete and accurate record-keeping
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:
• Knowledge and experience of scoping, designing, developing and conducting risk reviews
• Knowledge CB UAE rules and regulations.
• Bilingual English and Arabic Speaker is an advantage
• BA/BSc or higher degree in business (MBA), finance or any other related subject
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with peers and seniors
• Strong Communication analytical, written and oral communication skills
• Team Player
Previous experience:
• Candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a top tier Regional or Global Banking Institution,
