LFS Project Coordinator (National Position)
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a motivated professional individual to join our Syria Response Office’s operations. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience from working LFS project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context. Along with previous experience in remote management and from working in complex and volatile contexts. Also, experience in managing field teams and working with partners and overseeing multiple activity systems and budget tracking. The candidate must be fluent in both Arabic and English, both written and verbal with proficiency in Microsoft Office (applications, mainly excel and word. The candidate must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder. Technical Livelihoods expertise in transition/early recover context, including agriculture, cash transfer programmes, small business development and/or soft-skills training is required.
The purpose of the Livelihoods and Food Security Coordinator position is to coordinate the implementation of NRC’s delegated Livelihoods and Food Security project portfolio.
Specific responsibilities:
- Programme set-up: lead and conduct market assessments, identify information gaps, contribute to designing projects, lead the start-up and coordinate the implementation of specific livelihoods and food security activities
- Partnerships: identify local partners and contribute to the development oflinkages with relevant stakeholders and strategic partnerships on the ground
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Contribute in designing and implementing appropriate M&E system and tools for livelihoods and food security programmes in order to measure quality programming and evaluate impact, cost-effectiveness and relevance of specific activities
- Reporting: support program staff in conducting data analysis and presentation of findings, review and compile their inputs, and draft competent and relevant reporting outputs
- Community engagement: Contribute in developing and piloting tools and methodologies to support communication with beneficiaries, community engagement in the targeted areas, identify community needs
- Management: lead on the recruitment and selection of high quality staff, oversee the activities of and provide direct supervision to LFS project staff; performance management of all direct reports; facilitate LFS staff capacity building and training;ensure timely and accurate development of procurement plans, recruitment plans, and spending plans; budget management for all LFS projects/portfolio implemented in the area, ensuring compliance and programmatic quality, and document lessons learned and best practices.
- Coordination: Establish strong working relationship and coordination with relevant (I)NGOs and targeted communities; Coordinate and collaborate with other CCs during project design and implementation; Contribute to the development and strengthening of coordination mechanisms on area level, and represent NRC in relevant coordination meetings.
