System Administrator, Amman

We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated professional Systems Administrator to develop and support our corporate datacenter infrastructure and cloud environment which our market leading online Publishing SAAS business relies upon.

We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated professional Systems Administrator to develop and support our corporate datacenter infrastructure and cloud environment which our market leading online Publishing SAAS business relies upon.
Specifically, as a member of the distributed Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for:
- Corporate/datacenter systems installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance analysis and tuning.
- Monitor systems/services and provide solutions to hardware/software related issues.
- Design, implement and maintain automated tasks for various platforms and environments.
- Produce/maintain accurate, detailed, hardware and software inventories of both physical and virtual machines/environments.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation regarding our services, software and hardware.
Must have:
- BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in System Administration or relevant roles.
- Broad experience in system administration supporting Linux (Debian preferred) and Windows operating systems.
- Broad experience supporting and maintaining common Linux applications and services (Bind, Apache, Nginx, MySQL, etc.), as well as a deep understanding of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NFS, PAM, PXE, SNMP, SSH, HTTP/S, and NTP.
- Experience with the fundamentals of Linux and scripting languages e.g. bash, python, ruby, and Windows powershell.
- Experience with the fundamentals of Configuration Management and Automation tools (Puppet, Terraform).
- Experience with virtualization technologies and various hypervisors, e.g. VMWare, KVM.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and work as a member of a small distributed team.
- Excellent communication skills (in English and Arabic).
- Experience with implementation and maintenance of Linux Containers and Docker.
- Experience with software/hardware vendors like Dell/EMC, NetApp, Cisco, Arista, F5 Networks, Juniper.
- Experience with network administration/security and architecture principles.
- Professional certification in systems/network administration, e.g. RHCSA, RHCSE, CompTIA+, CCNA.
