Project Assistant

All employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of all applicable background checks, including criminal record checks where possible.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESProject Implementation and PlanningØ Support Project Officer to provide logistical support to field staff.Ø Support Project Officer to provide logistical and administrative arrangements and coordination for team members, beneficiary children and field staff.Ø Support Project Officer to coordinate with relevant departments in WV Jordan office and with suppliers.Ø Prepare documentations (translation, draft, printing hard copies) and file records and correspondences related to the project.Ø File scan and copy of vouchers related to procurement and finance transactions.Ø Support Project Manager to review monthly finance report by providing requested information.Ø Provide support for Coordinators when conduct project activities and events in the field.Ø Support Project Officer to provide reports in a timely manner for office, donor, or any entity as required.Monitoring, Evaluation and ReportingØ Support Project Officer to collect all the requested data from field or government.Ø Support Project Officer to carry out regular field visits to monitor the progress of remedial classes, and other project activities, according to approved proposal.Ø Manage entry and support analysis of monthly collected data related to the project (such as academic performance and attendance). Ø Coordinate with enumerators and MEAL officer for the entry and analysis of baseline and end line data.Ø Develop and manage database of the project related data and documentations.Partnership and NetworkingØ Assist Project Manager and Coordinator assigned to Component 1 to conduct and keep records of external meetings and conferences. Ø Assist Project Manager and Coordinators to accept visitors. Child ProtectionØ Assist Coordinator in conducting child protection awareness sessions for the caregivers.Ø Assist in identifying, reporting and responding to existing and potential child protection threats affecting the children participating in the project activities.Ø Comply fully and ensure teachers’ compliance with WV’s Child Protection Policy and code of conduct.Perform other duties as required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES· Working experiences of at least 2 years in private sector or in humanitarian sector· Excellent English and Arabic communication skills (both oral and written)· Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint· Motivated to work in humanitarian field and grow professionally, eager and quick to learn· Experience working on projects funded by international donors· Familiar with core principles of Children’s Rights, Child Protection, Participation, and ‘Do No Harm.’· Knowledge of and adherence to the Child Protection, Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct· Working knowledge of the logical framework approach.· Experience in working for projects funded by Japanese government
