Multi-skilled Technical Operator
Job IntroductionThe new BBC Bureau in Amman is recruiting three multi-skilled Technical Operators to join the Production team. The focus will be on Radio Operations, with the ability to operate in a multi-platform environment.
There are both continuing and fixed term contracts available. You will be expected to do some shift work depending on rota (40 hours per week all roles).
Role ResponsibilityYour role is to operate audio studio equipment effectively and in adherence with Safety Regulations. You will operate playout and production-based systems as well as recording, editing, mixing and replaying material. We expect you to take responsibility and offer advice on the technical quality, aural balance and audibility of programme material. You will identify and resolve technical issues in broadcast-critical systems.
You must have the ability to operate and perform in other basic broadcast operations; examples being:
