About the job
Under the line management HR Coordinator the Trainer will be part of the coordination team based in Amman, and will support all the hubs. This position is new for the mission, as such the Trainer will have to be extremely proactive and flexible, to set-up efficient training materials to be implemented in the various hubs, ensure good coordination and develop adequate training framework. The Trainier  is responsible for the design of Training material based on the Manager 2.0 and other manmegment policies at mission level (training plan, material preparation of other trainers , evalaution of processes,) and to ensure proper implementation & monitoring of such trainings . As such s/he works in close coordination with coordinators and managers to enhance managerial strategies at national and international staff level.
The trainer has to be a confident public speaker and a devoted educator who is up-to-date on the latest tools and resources needed to improve training. The trainer will also be responsible for researching and selecting the best platform to deliver and utilize training materials.
Duties and Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Responsibility 1: Conduct managerial skills gap analysis 
Activities
  • Identify training needs  for managers by evaluating strengths and weaknesses
  • Translate requirements into trainings that will groom managers for the next step of their career path
Responsibility 2: Design manuals using simple language
Activities
  • Identify learning objective of the training
  • Prepare training materials
  • Identify methods to be used so that participants meet the learning objectives and learn the content most effectively
  • Constantly assess the trainees’ level, and adjust the training contents accordingly;
  • Review and adjust existing training materials and create new training materials where necessary
  • Collect feedback from participant regarding the training
Responsibility 3: Conduct role-specific training 
Activities:
  • By examining each role and talking to people in that role—and their managers, the trainer should create focused training that meets real needs rather than trying to cover everything in overly broad strokes.
  • Each employee is recommended or assigned training based on the skills and knowledge needed for her role.
Responsibility 4:  Research and recommend learning mechanisms 
Activities
  • Review  and explore the current organizatin learning mechanisms
  • Identfy the strength and weeknesses of the current learning mechanisims
  • Make recommendation regarding the improvement of the learning mechanisim within the organization
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
-Qualifications/training: 
Essential: Bachelor in Business administration, education or a related field
Preferred: MBA or a certification of talent & training association, a plus
-Experiences (types of positions and length):
Essential:
  • At least 4 years of experience as Trainer
  • At least 2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, preferably INGOs
  • Proven experience in designing and executing training programs
  • Proven experience  in modern training methods and techniques
  • Proven experience  in capacity building and staff development
Preferred:
  •  Previous experience with Handicap International would be an asset;
Competencies:

  • Very good written and spoken English & Arabic
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Effective Presentation skill

Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by line manager.        
We offer
HI will offer the successful applicant a fixed term contract 3 month (Consultancy), renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available ASAP and be willing and able to work in Amman.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with HI Terms and Conditions of Employment.
