1- Junior Finance Officer
The “Payments Department in GIZ Country Office” in Jordan is seeking a “Junior Finance Officer” - on a full time base employment.Responsibilities:The position holder is responsible for:• Payment of invoices via electronic banking system
• Cash withdrawals according to needs
• handling bank payments through the electronic bank system
• bank transfers, checking IBAN, and follow up on requirments
Invoice verrification
Database administration of electronic bank system, including regular follow-up with the standard chartered bank, regarding the changes of banking country policy and update beneficiaries data accordingly
• Assuring the completeness of information and documentation for processing payments by the GIZ office
• Support the finance department in preparation of reports, lists, statistics, maintaining bank database, etc

Required qualifications, competences and experience:Qualifications:
- BA in accounting, banking or similar area
Professional experience - 3 years’ professional experience in core subject
- Profound experience in online banking (corporate systems is a plus)
- Experience in banking processes
- Knowledge on different modes of payment including electronic systems
- Experience in invoice verification
- Experience in advanced digitalized processes
Other knowledge, additional competences - good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office)
- confidential handling of data and information
- very good knowledge of the English and Arabic
- high attention to details, and preciseness
- advance knowledge in Excel
- good team player
- self-learning capacity
- conscientiousness/reliability/attentiveness

• Assisting in checking incoming invoices related to procurement of goods, services, construction contracts and local subsidies
• Receiving and registering invoices as part of the invoice check process
• Liaising with the projects, service providers and recipients for requirements related for invoice verification
• Support in invoice check in SAP
• Maintaining data in project fund system
• handling electronic cash book
• Deputizing the position - travel claims/ flight ticket invoice check
• Supporting in assuring the completeness of information and documentation for processing payments by the GIZ office
• Support the finance department in preparation of reports, lists, statistics, maintaining bank database, scanning, photocopying etc
• Maintaining the financial parts of the related files (manual and electronic files) including scanning
• Performing tasks in compliance with GIZ’s Orientation and Rules (O+R)
