Field Coordinator

الوصف الوظيفي

ROLE PURPOSE: The Field Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership achieving the objectives and implementing the activities of the “Child protection activities ”, funded by UNHCR 
” S/he will work with the, local partners and SC project staff to ensure the quality and relevance of the project interventions. S/he is responsible for ensuring that project reporting requirements are met in a timely and quality manner. S/he will advise senior project staff concerning relevant issues associated with the progress of the project in order to facilitate any necessary changes in programming in order to meet targets in the time frame projects as best as possible.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Support the delivery of effective results, in the humanitarian context relevant to the Syrian Influx and Humanitarian Response. This will be achieved through:
• Work with Field officer to finalize the detailed implementation plan and the strategic plan as well as implementing interventions.
• Ensure that all activities, are planned efficiently, effectively and are of sustainable impact; based on accepted best practices
• Identify and oversee the selection of partners, agreement with partners and provision of overall interventions in the field, and ensure that all activities improve access to quality services provided as part of the design of this project. 
• Design and provide technical guidance for all informal education, protection and psychosocial activities relevant to this project. 
• Design and provide technical guidance on community mobilization and awareness raising messages and activities for community stakeholders. .
• Ensure tracking of set indicators throughout the implementation cycle and regular reporting on impact, and in coordination with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, assist partners in developing appropriate strategies for monitoring and evaluating implemented activities.
• Assist in strengthening national institutions and local partners’ capacity to continue to implement and provide access to quality community based protection services beyond the life of the project
• Represent Save the Children and the Project in relevant coordination meetings regarding the Syrian Humanitarian Response relevant to protection access and quality.
• Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of crisis or emergency.
• Commitment to serving members and their donors, and to helping build a culture of member service throughout organisation
• Responsible for mobilizing the communities and Conducting needs assessment in the target communities with an aim to implement programme activities. 
• Follow up and Support CPCs in planning, implementing and managing routine activities, i.e., conducting / attending meetings and recording minutes of the meetings and follow up on action plans.
• Acting as focal point responsible to monitor, identify and refer child protection issues as per the agreed interagency protocols and procedures
