Established in 2012 NRC Jordan’s long-term outlook addresses the problems affecting life as a refugee. We work to build the resilience of Syrians, and to relieve the impact on the Jordanian communities that host them. Syrian refugees in Jordan are struggling. As they contend with difficult living conditions across the country, the obstacles are complex. They struggle to remain registered as refugees, to provide for their families, and to access essential services – including education for their children. The Jordanian communities that host them, meanwhile, feel the impact of hosting high numbers of refugees – with each year that passes, local infrastructure becomes more strained.
1.Roles and Responsibilities
The distribution assistant will be responsible for facilitating NRC distribution activities in the camp
which include the entry of assistance data and the physical distribution of assistance to beneficiaries.
The candidates should have good communication skills and able to perform well under pressure.
Generic responsibilities:
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
- Assist with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action..
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
- Ensure proper filing of documents.
- Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities:
- Registering refugees through UNHCR RAIS registration system.
- Supporting the officer in delivering NFIs to beneficiaries.
- Preparing data reports and analyzing information based on registration data.
- Directly managing distribution processes as assigned by the project officer.
- Daily supervision of incentive laborers as requested by the project officer.

Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for candidates with Vocational/Tawjihi degree or equivalent, whom has minimum one year experience with shelter projects in a humanitarian/recovery context. Proficiency in computer skills with demonstrated experience on MS Office tools, fluency in Arabic and intermediate knowledge of English, both written and verbal are required.

- Direct responsibility for the delivery of the NFIs to beneficiaries.
- Preparing data reports and analyzing information based on registration data.
- Consolidation of distribution stock and preparing distribution reports for the Project Officer.
- Directly supervise incentive laborers, prepare attendance sheets
