1-M&E Officer - re advertised "Nationals Only"

Role Specific Information

The purpose of the M&E Officer role is to contribute to enhancing NRC Jordan’s understanding of the consequences of its programming, for example through adapting and improving internal systems to promote evidence-based decision-making and programme performance.
Generic responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Implement delegated Core Competency project portfolio according to plan of action.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities:
  • Support in cleaning and maintaining data files as needed
  • Ensuring final version of all files are archived in one drive
  • Implementing data quality spot checks
  • Overseeing/spot checking data collection by volunteers
  • Supporting in implementation of capacity building plans for implementing partners
  • Supporting data collection processes, ensuring data is gathered in a timely and appropriate manner and to an acceptable quality
  • Support in data management and data analysis
  • Support the development of data collection methodology and tools
  • Capacity building and training of programme staff on M+E implementation, for example data collection, as needed 
  • Report on any security incidents to the Country Security Advisor or designated focal point. 
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a university graduate with a minimum of two years previous experience in relevant field.  Experience working in complex and volatile contexts, experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context. Experience in working with data. Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential and to have some knowledge in English.

2- Youth Project Manager-Camps (Zaatari & Azraq)

he purpose of the Youth Camp Project Manager position is to implement delegated Youth Camp project portfolio. The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities:
  • Line management for project staff.
  • Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of Country, Area and Core Competency strategies.
  • Initiate and participate in the development of relevant projects.
  • Coordinate and manage project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements.
  • Implement technical direction and ensure high technical quality of projects.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Line Manager and the Core Competency Specialist.
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection; explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
  • Develop and manage project budget (in cooperation with coordinators) and coordinate across Core Competencies.
  • Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer of key skills.
  • Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders.
  • Promote the rights of internally displaced/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
    Specific responsibilities
  • Manage NRCs Youth program in Zaatari and Azraq camp.
  • Ensure active participation of NRC in all relevant youth fora, including the Youth Task Force at camp level.
  • Develop selected pathways for students including internship and job opportunities including through the production capacity of the existing workshop
  • Ensure staff and Syrian IBV + are trained and empowered.
  • Actively identify new opportunities for programming and partnerships for course content and accreditation.
  • Coordinate with programme partners to ensure effective and efficient joint implementation of courses and accreditation.
  • Ensure strong collaboration with other CC and M&E and other organizations to identify opportunities for the students.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor degree with 5 years of experience with at least 3 years from a senior level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context. Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.

We are particularly looking for a positive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can build trust and confidently navigate both internally and externally at different levels, to have the ability to analyze data and trends for informed decisions and Capacity building skills.

3- Technical ICLA Legal Officer " re advertised" for Nationals Only

The Technical Legal Officer is responsible to provide proper legal support to ICLA beneficiaries,
including through counselling and further legal actions. 

Generic responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Core Competency strategy, tools, handbooks, guidelines and
    standards.
  • Responsible for implementation of technical activities of Core Competency project(s).
  •  Responsible for tracking financial expenditures for technical activities of Core Competency
    project(s).
  •  Responsible for technical quality control and monitoring of project activities.
  • Ensure project documentation of technical activities of Core Competency project(s).
  • Provide technical support and capacity building towards project staff.
  • Provide technical analysis and feedback to NRC representatives in coordination forums.

  • Provision of information, counselling and further legal support to ICLA beneficiaries
  • Case management of beneficiary cases including necessary follow up within agreed deadlines.
  • Close liaison with caseworkers in order to provide accurate and updated advise for ICLA
    beneficiaries.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis when necessary and developing training materials
  • Coordination with partners and legal aid providers, including joint case management of cases.
  • Other tasks required by ICLA Coordinator .
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a university graduate in Law with previous experience. Experience working in complex and volatile contexts and experience from working within technical expertise area in a humanitarian/ recovery context. Valid license from the Jordanian Bar Association and to have knowledge of the displacement context in Jordan. Extensive knowledge of Jordanian legal system and practice and Background in housing, land and property law, and/or foreigners’ legal status law and/or civil documentation law and/or labour law considered a strong advantage. Knowledge of Sharia law and its application in Jordan considered an advantage. Native fluency in Arabic and Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

4- Technical Logistics Assistant - Irbid

The role of Technical Logistics Assistant is to assist in the day to day management of warehousing and assets and support the logistics team where needed.
Generic responsibilities:
  • Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Assist a range of support with the implementation of the support function portfolio according to plan of action.
  • Implements independently procedures and activities within own function or core competency as delegated.
  • Responsible for organizing and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the specialist area of work in which technical assistance and support is being provided, in order to be most effective in supporting the team.
  • Use initiative in day to day problem solving in line with agreed procedures, priorities and standards for the area of work.

  • Completes monthly stock counts of warehouse and storage.
  • Assists in the receipt, storage, and transfer of stock, ensures the accuracy of quantities, condition and validity and checks random samples.
  • Assists in the management of assets, ensuring all assets are tagged and logged in coordination with Country Office Logistics team.
  • Completes and files accurate and up to date logistics documents.
  • Assists in the perparation and completion of daily/weekly/monthly logistic reports.
  • Supports Mafraq office Logistics Officer as required by line manager (Fleets/Warehousing etc).
  • Any other general logistics assistance as requested.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a candidate with a 2 years of experience. Previous experience in Logistics managing Warehouse and Assets. Previous experience working with a non profit NGO. Working knowledge (Reading/Writing/Speaking) of English.
