1- Livelihoods Case Worker

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Based in Irbid, and under direct supervision of the Livelihoods Team Leader, the livelihoods case worker is responsible for the implementation of ICMC’s livelihood activities (financial literacy, vocational training, livelihood counselling). S/he identifies program beneficiaries through interviews, develops case plan, follows up on beneficiaries’ participation in the program, monitors the outcomes of the program, and keeps appropriate record of beneficiaries.Specific Duties:
- Identify and assess program beneficiaries
- Conduct program-specific intake interviews with potential beneficiaries in order to identify and assess their financial literacy and vocational training needs, barriers to livelihood, and qualifications/assets.
- Deliver accountable and collaborative casework that respects the culture and context of the beneficiaries;
- Develop case plan
- Develop a comprehensive beneficiary driven case plan based on the intake assessment to address the livelihood needs of the beneficiary;
- Recommend appropriate types of vocational training for each program beneficiary based on their experience, skills and interests;
- Provide livelihood counseling to beneficiaries to raise their awareness on the job market and available opportunities;
- Conduct regular follow up with beneficiaries either in person or over the phone to ensure the beneficiaries are meeting their case plan goals and objectives, during and after the training, job placement and address any occurring needs with appropriate internal and/or external services available.
- Implement livelihood activities
- Plan financial literacy classes, follow up on attendance, and liaise with the teacher to address any issues as necessary;
- In coordination with various ICMC programs and with the Referral Caseworkers, make appropriate internal and/or external referrals and follow up on the results.
- Support the beneficiaries and the employers to address any issues/concerns and ensure their labor rights are upheld;
- Conduct post monitoring of project outcomes as needed;
- Keep track of program beneficiaries for various activities, record appropriate documentation / information.
- Reports regularly to the Livelihoods Team Leader on activities progress and challenges;
Administrative Duties:a. Perform any administrative duties as required, including case filing.Communication and Coordination:- Assist the Referral Caseworkers and the Livelihoods Team Leader in identifying the livelihood actors in the area.
- Constantly follow up the livelihoods needs at the community level and keep the Livelihoods Team Leader updated.
Other:- Strictly follow the ICMC internal procedures and guidelines
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor degree in social science, social work or related academic qualifications with relevant experience
- At least 2 years of practical experience working in humanitarian sector, preferably with an INGO.
- Experience in livelihoods projects desired.
- Experience in case work required;
- Demonstrated experience in conducting interviews, vulnerability assessments, etc.
- Proven experience working with the refugee communities in Jordan.
Desired Skills:- Excellent communication skills, particularly demonstrating interviewing skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Being well-organized and detail oriented
- Ability to take initiative
- Excellent Arabic spoken and written language skills
- Ability to communicate and write in English
- Excellent team working skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure.

2- Protection Assistant

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Assist the Protection CFS Social Worker in activities focused on children to ensure the successful implementation of project activities in ICMC’s Protection Center.Specific Objectives:Support for Activities
- Support awareness raising session and literacy classes for women and men meeting ICMCs criteria.
- Successfully entertain and engage children in educational recreational activities
- Support the CFS activities in the protection centre
- Support the transportation for the beneficiaries from and to ICMC protection centre
Administration- Assist in the registration of refugees who attend the Protection Centre and doing the Invitation and PDM evaluation calls for beneficiaries.
- Assist with various administrative duties, as required by the CFS Social Worker
General Coordination- Facilitate the referral of vulnerable individuals to various organizations for appropriate service provision.
- Participate in weekly team meetings to support and coordinate the team.
General Communication- Provide daily updates to the CFS Social Worker regarding the day’s activities and incidents.
- Establish good communication and coordination with all ICMC departments and project staff.
Other- Strictly follow the ICMC internal procedures and guidelines, as advised by senior management.
- Ensure accountability to all project stakeholders, especially beneficiaries.
- Assist, when required in the completion of potential beneficiaries through outreach activities
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications and competencies:- University degree in Social Work or related
- Experience working in the NGO sector an asset
- Experience in working with children is a strong asset
- Experience in working with marginalized populations is an asset
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with variety of people, and express oneself in a clear and concise way
- Excellent Arabic spoken and written language skills
- Working level of English is a valuable asset.
- Excellent command of MS Office and other computer programs, including good typing skills
- Excellent team working skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure
