Role Summary
An integral member of the team, the HR Director partners with all areas of BWR to guide HR policies, objectives, programs, and initiatives all in support of our vision, mission and values. This position leads the HR team, driving supportive relationships with all employee groups (store and corporate level) and guiding informed HR policies which empower managers to be better leaders. The HR Director provides hands on leadership, coaching and mentoring, is comfortable challenging convention, and asks great questions. This position collaborates with our operations and training teams to provide robust onboarding and learning and development tools.
Essential Role Functions
This position has responsibility over all operations of the HR team, including:
Recruitment
 Lead a robust recruitment process for all open positions (store and corporate level)
 Proactive outreach in establishing BWR as a great place to work
 Build a network of candidates at all levels
Compensation
 Ensure internally fair and competitive compensation
 Responsibility over compensation structures and analytics
Benefits
 Designs, plans and implements robust employee benefits programs with a strong sense for market offerings
 Ensures that programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, are cost effective, and well-communicated
Performance Management
 Continuously evolve tools to drive meaningful performance conversations and employee development for all employee groups
 Build a strong program of individual and organizational learning and development
Payroll and HR Technology Systems
 Lead the HR team in providing payroll services to the organization
 Continuously evolve systems, building upon current organization-wide systems and platforms
Compliance and Policies
 Oversee all policy development and improvement
 Maintain legal compliance, providing leadership to managers and HR team
Labor Relations
 Manage relationship with all Jordan labor institutions, including contract negotiation, and ensure compliance
 Work with third-party labor relations partner (if applicable)
Organizational Services and Support
 Build a strong business relationship with the internal customer: all store and corporate level directors, managers, and staff
 Offer thought leadership to senior leadership around organizational structure and development
 Promote employee empowerment through user friendly and professional communication tools
 Maintain consistent HR representation in all locations for all employee groups
HR Team Leadership
 Provide support, leadership, coaching, mentorship, and development for the HR team
 Lead the HR team as an outstanding example of internal customer service
What we’re looking for
An individual that is passionate about great HR and culture. Requires a track record of success in recruiting, compensation, benefits, performance management, policies and compliance. Has held an HR leadership position at a company of plus 100 people with multiple locations. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide creative latitude. Has a strong appreciation for design and company culture.
Requirements:
 Bachelor’s degree
 8+ years of experience in all aspects of human resources operations
 At least three years as a leader of the function in a similar sized company with a track record of success
 Prior industry experience in food and beverage is preferred
 Knowledge of effective learning and development tools
 Extensive knowledge of Jordan employment law
 Systems and tech savvy; is a systems thinker
 Is familiar with tools available and has the ability to match tools to need
 Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Google Docs, etc. a plus

Position Details
 Location: Abdallah Ghosheh Street, Building #53, 4th Floor, Suite 411, Amman. Oversight of up to 10 Amman BWR stores.
 Reports to: Director of Operations MENA
 Direct Reports: HR Operations Manager
