BACKGROUND:
The Syria crisis is often described as the worst humanitarian catastrophe since the end of the Cold War. Inside Syria, 6.5 people are internally displaced and 9.3 million are in need of humanitarian assistance; the region is hosting over 4.8 million refugees. IRC is offering a robust humanitarian response to the Syria crisis. With an annual budget in excess of $125 million and a rapidly expanding portfolio, supported by more than 1100 staff in the region, IRC is undertaking programs in Syria and the neighboring countries of Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan in the fields of health, child protection, education, women’s protection and empowerment, distribution of food and core relief items, cash assistance, and economic recovery. Our work in these challenging settings gives rise to some of the most pressing issues facing contemporary humanitarian action, including questions of access, security, funding and coordination.

SCOPE OF WORK:
The role of the Information Management and Program Support Consultant is to support the Sr. ERD Coordinator and the ERD cash and basic needs team with review of beneficiary data and application of the selection methodology to assessed households. This will include the review and verification of registration data and applying IRC selection methodology to data set, according to IRC guidelines under the guidance of Sr. ERD Coordinator. The consultant will produce a short report outlining review and selection process with summary of exercise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the Cash & Basic Needs and Livelihoods teams with the selection process of beneficiaries for cash assistance programming.
• Following the IRC guidelines for cash assistance beneficiary selection, use downloaded registration datasets to enter beneficiary information in the cash assistance database.
• Conduct a data quality check, searching for duplicates, data errors and inconsistencies, reporting any findings back to Managers and Senior ERD Coordinator.
• Following data quality check and cleaning of data, apply IRC’s beneficiary selection criteria and send report to Cash & Basic Needs Coordinator and Senior ERD Coordinator highlighting any findings with the data, with profile of eligible and ineligible applicants highlighted.
• Support the overall information management process for IRC’s program in
• Ensure all data collection systems and procedures are in-line with IRC standard operating procedures, particularly related to approvals, documentation requirements and data management
• Support the IM Manager in completing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and final donor reports

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
• University degree in following fields: Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Social Sciences, or any related field of focus

Work Experience:
• At least 3 years work experience, with NGOs/INGOs experience preferred

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Excel software, including experience with vLookups, data sorting and filtering, pivot table development and management, advanced formulas
• Highly organized with high attention to detail

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Standard office work environment in Amman. Candidates will be expected to provide their own transportation to and from the job site each day.
