JOB SUMMARY:The IT Coordinator (ITC) is responsible for planning and managing all related technology assets, operations and network infrastructure. S/he provides oversight to the resolution of critical and/or emergent customer support issues. Provides input into technology expenditures for the mission to insure CARE International makes the most effective use of existing technology and integrate appropriate future technologies into critical business processes. Develops and implements the sourcing and vendor relationships for assigned technology vendors. S/he is responsible for relationship management of the unit’s customers. S/ he will Work with the Senior Management and other managers to ensure that the organization's requirements for technology are effectively forecasted, prioritized, and appropriately met by aligning IT initiatives with mission’s business goals. Overall this position ensures mission-wide IT operational efficiencies and effectiveness through the development and implementation of the mission’s multi-year technology usage with sound replacement strategy, policies and procedures.The Information Technology Coordinator is primarily responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the operation, installation, maintenance, and networking of computer hardware and software. The ITC will conduct system backups on a regular basis; perform a variety of tasks associated with troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware problems; trains staff in the proper use of computer equipment and use of software; designs and recommends hardware and software upgrades. The ITC also provides support to all staff for computer systems, network and desktop operating systems and applications. Communication is also an important function, which includes video teleconferencing, telecommunications; office phones, and mobile phones, as well as the development and upkeep of Syria websites. This person also participates in the planning of infrastructure changes in the offices. Other responsibilities include inventory and as well as procurement functions associated with IT equipment.RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Job Responsibility #1: Planning and managing all related technology assets, operations and network infrastructure •Manage the mission’s technology assets and operations in a cost-effective and efficient manner which includes: implementing CARE technology standards, technology usage and replacement strategy, IT policies and IT training strategy for all staff. Also ensures maximum uptime of network, email and mission critical applications and easy accessibility of required information at all levels of the organization.•Provide technical assistance and analyses on network operations and business applications; among the most critical software applications are: FINANCIAL SYSTEM, Windows - Server and Client Base of OS - MS Office suite of applications, Exchange Server, SQL server and localized business solutions. Also, ensure the continuous availability and operations of desktop software applications and systems in the CO.•Responsible for updating, developing and maintaining the organization web-sites.•Administer and provide technical support for the CARE Country Office Headquarters’ WAN and LAN systems to ensure the following:1-Data Security of the WAN system inclusive of Financial System Database.2-Server and database archives, back-up of entire System including cataloging and storage of Backup media.3-Reliable protection from data loss, corruption and/or virus .4-Ensure the effective functioning of the internal messaging (e-mail) functions, internet access and telecommunications network5-Timely and cost-effective replacement of defective server, network and communication components.Job Responsibility #2: Relationship management with customers and vendorsWork with Management to define and implement a prioritized list of all mission technology projects and deliverables, based on mission’s Business strategy and goals. This includes:•Understand the business strategies and goals.•Work with the customer to identify and prioritize their business needs around IT.•Recommend IT solutions with a focus on future use with CARE’s business environment, and applying appropriate technology using CARE IT standards.•Help program Managers ,finance offices and partners to develop technology budget for initial project proposal and for implementing approved projects. •Negotiate service level agreements with the business owners to deliver effective support services on time.•Responsible for vendor/consultant management/expiry dates for any service, this includes CARE domain, Staff accounts, antivirus licenses. Job Responsibility #3: Training and Staff Support:•In cooperation with Assistant Country Director, Program Support the incumbent is responsible for staff support through the design of and training of staff on the use selected software (such as Crystal reporting function, MS Office, Outlook… etc.), and through regular training on standard software and or new software.•Provide daily support to staff including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.Job Responsibility #4: Policy development:•The Information Technology Coordinator makes recommendations to the Assistant Country Director, Program Support on policy development for equipment and software usage.•Monitor the country office adherence of CARE International policies.•Responsible for the development and revision as necessary of IT policies and procedures and for the dissemination of them to all staff.•Liaison between CARE SSU, CARE USA and Middle East Region concerning IT Policies, Procedures as well as other developing issues.Job Responsibility #5: Communication and Advocacy•Provide technical support to the Policy & Advocacy Manager and Communication staff.•Upload media content to CARE’s website and CARE’s social media networks•Create and maintain user accounts and subscriptions to different web services and social media such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc…•Support the Advocacy and Communication team technically in creating/formatting video/audio files•Design CARE’s website in a way that reflects CARE’s new programs from CD and Program Managers. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Job Responsibility #1: Planning and managing all related technology assets, operations and network infrastructure
•Manage the mission’s technology assets and operations in a cost-effective and efficient manner which includes: implementing CARE technology standards, technology usage and replacement strategy, IT policies and IT training strategy for all staff. Also ensures maximum uptime of network, email and mission critical applications and easy accessibility of required information at all levels of the organization.
