1. Roles and Responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities (max 10)
These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan.
- Monitors the progress of the activities of assigned staff and ensures they are implemented and conform to planning and quality standards.
- Develops with the assigned team, monthly activity plans.
- Suggest new methods and approaches in order to improve the quality of the activities that meets the needs of beneficiaries.
- Identify, analyse and evaluate processes and gaps in the implementation of activities and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with relevant local authorities and/or stakeholders
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. The line manager drafts the specific responsibilities and sends them to his/her line manager for approval.
• Coordinating with the Department of Forestry to establish planting schedule, ensure sufficient supply of seedlings, and maintain support for the project within the DoF.
• Oversee onsite operations and ensure the project site keeps up with projected deadlines
• Coordinate with project partners to ensure supply needs and schedules are kept up with.
• Coordinate with Site Team Leaders, in order to ensure timely implementation of deliverables.
Critical Interfaces
By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are:
• Support teams, Finance, HR, Admin and Logistics
• M&E department
• Relevant core competency implementation staff

2. Competencies

• Experience working in reforestation within Jordan
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• Experience supervising large cash for work projects

Qualification requirement: Bachelor's Degree
Years of Experience: 3
• Master's / Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• Documented results related to the position's responsibilities
• Demonstrated results working in reforestation or afforestation in Jordan
